Join us at The Carson City Tails and Trails event, hosted by the Carson City Park Rangers in cooperation with the Nevada Humane Society, is a bi-annual opportunity to adopt a new furry friend and learn about outdoor dog safety! This fun experience promotes a more 'paws-itive' trail system by educating new dog owners on proper dog etiquette as well as learning the Carson City dog related laws.
We are in need of volunteers with dog handling experience to help us with the adoptable pets we will be bringing to this event. Please keep in mind that while we hope to have a volunteer per dog, as dogs are adopted out you may be asked to help with other aspects of the event.
Housekeeping:
- Volunteers must be 18+ for this opportunity as they will be handling dogs.
- Volunteers with prior event experience are strongly encouraged to sign up.
- Please keep in mind that you represent Nevada Humane Society when assisting at events. Only sign up if you are comfortable speaking to large groups of people.
