Who We Are
Our Simply Smalls volunteers are a group of people who love Small Animals and everything about them! When volunteering with small animals you will take them out of their enclosures and provide them with time to run around and stretch their legs. This is a great time to sit and read, knit, or just talk to them! Just like all animals, small animals need & deserve enrichment and we appreciate the volunteers who help us care for the rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and other small animals we help find homes for.
Nevada Humane Society is the only open-admission, no-kill shelter in the state of Nevada. We have been saving Northern Nevada pets in need for over 90 years!
We are a close, dedicated team of animal lovers and our volunteers are integral to our life-saving mission. Learn more about our life-saving work and some of our favorite rescue stories on our website.
What We Do
- Cleaning animal living areas
- Doing dishes
- Mopping / Cleaning Small Animals Room
- Providing the animals with enrichment (petting, playing, etc.)
- Walking the animals with a leash or stroller
- Making crafts & toys
- Making treats
